An urban renewal project in the heart of Bitzaron neighbourhood, located in the east of Tel Aviv. The project included the demolition of the existing building and in its place, the construction of a new building with 8-15 floors above 2 basements. The building includes 63 new apartments, which were designed in memory and reference to the original building proportions.
The existing building is a block with four floors and is a part of 12 identical buildings. It has a green area connected to a network of green areas in the neighborhood. This urban plan fits the ideology of the ‘Garden City’ of La Corbusier.
We maintained the uniqueness of green spaces that continue along height of the building, by designing the fifth level – the roof floor.
The fifth floor or ‘roof floor’ in the design is also from the ideology of the known architect – Corbusier.
